JAKARTA, October 8, 2026 — For more than four decades, VIVERE Group has been part of the evolution of Indonesia’s workspace and interior industry. Building on this legacy, VIVERE aims to contribute further to the industry through its commitment to giving back to the community, particularly by addressing the need to broaden industry perspectives on the role and value of the workspace.
This initiative is also driven by the recognition that workspaces are often perceived as a cost burden, when in fact they can serve as a strategic investment in both people and business. VIVERE believes that when the industry community grows, the broader ecosystem progresses alongside it, creating benefits for all stakeholders.
Following a series of community events and content initiatives under the Designed for Life (DFL) banner, this commitment has now taken shape in the Designed for Life (DFL) Conference 2026, themed “The Connected Workspace: Built on Culture. Driven by People. Powered by Technology.”
Held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton, Pacific Place, Jakarta, the conference serves as a platform for community building and collaboration, bringing together business owners, workspace users, designers, property consultants, and other stakeholders to exchange perspectives and drive progress across the workspace industry. The event also featured documentation showcasing DFL initiatives and activities held in the lead-up to the DFL Conference 2026.

“For us, DFL is more than just an event. We want to build a community that brings together diverse industry perspectives and creates broader conversations about the workspace,” said William Simiadi, President Director of VIVERE, during a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday (October 8, 2026).
He added that DFL aims to connect businesses, users, designers, property professionals, technology providers, and other stakeholders. “This will allow industry gaps to be discussed from multiple perspectives, rather than having each stakeholder operate in isolation,” William explained.
According to Fayruzka Juanita, Design Director at Studio Yruna, gaps often emerge because discussions about workspaces begin too late in the decision-making process, leading to misconceptions among business leaders about what a workspace should deliver.
“Discussions often begin with layout, aesthetics, floor area, or budget, rather than with business objectives, ways of working, user needs, and the future needs of the organization,” she said.
Echoing this perspective, Naila Djatnika, Managing Director of DesignPartners Indonesia (DPI), noted that workspaces are still often assessed primarily in terms of their physical attributes, while the value they can create for people and businesses is not given sufficient consideration.
“Instead, we should look at how a workspace supports productivity, collaboration, employee experience, wellbeing, and overall business performance,” she said.
Meanwhile, Audya Medina, Head of People & Culture at IDN https://www.fortuneidn.com, shared the People & Operations perspective on what meaningful workspace value looks like in the day-to-day activities of an organization.
“Workspace value becomes tangible when employees can work more effectively, teams can collaborate more easily, people remain connected to the organizational culture, work activities are properly supported, and the workspace meets the company’s operational needs,” she said.
VIVERE Group has a long-term ambition to develop DFL into a community that connects people, knowledge, and practice across the entire industry ecosystem, with the DFL Conference 2026 marking an important milestone in this journey.
Building on DFL’s ongoing development, the DFL Conference 2026 brought together speakers from diverse professional backgrounds, including Joe Chu, Director of Dealer Market for Southeast Asia and Taiwan at Steelcase https://www.steelcase.com ; Carlos Quaderi, Head of Asia Pacific at Zoom https://www.zoom.com ; Eric Magno, Principal at Aedas https://www.aedas.com ; and Rochelle Lei, Senior Design Project Manager, Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), at Amazon https://aws.amazon.com/id . The conference was moderated by Allison Cui, Vice President and General Manager at Milliken https://www.milliken.com/en-us .
The conference explored three key pillars: Workspace as an Ecosystem, Technology and Digital Integration, and Business & Productivity. These themes examined how workspaces can foster a more connected ecosystem of people, culture, technology, and business needs to enable better ways of working and improve productivity.
For VIVERE, the DFL Conference 2026 represents an important step in further developing DFL as a community, building on conversations initiated through its earlier activities. For more information about the DFL Conference 2026, visit https://dfl.vivere.co.id/.
