Tangerang, 29 January 2026 - Commission VII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) conducted a specific working visit to PT Gema Graha Sarana Tbk (GGS), a member of the VIVERE Group, located at the SOUTH78 Building, Gading Serpong, Tangerang. The visit was specifically focused on discussions regarding the strengthening of the domestic manufacturing industry to meet domestic market needs while remaining competitive in the global market.
The delegation of Commission VII DPR RI was welcomed by the President Director of PT Gema Graha Sarana, Mr. William Simiadi, along with the company’s management team, and was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. The visit aimed to obtain first-hand insights into the readiness of the manufacturing industry in responding to global market dynamics and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
During the visit, Commission VII DPR RI observed the production processes, implementation of manufacturing technologies, internationally standardized quality control systems, sustainability practices, as well as supply chain integration supporting both domestic and export markets. The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the furniture showroom located within the SOUTH78 Building to view nationally manufactured furniture products that meet global standards.
In his remarks, the President Director of PT Gema Graha Sarana, Mr. William Simiadi, emphasized that the furniture industry plays a strategic role in the national economy through job creation and the enhancement of value-added to natural resources. Nevertheless, the national industry continues to face increasingly intense global competition, particularly in terms of production efficiency and technology adoption.
VIVERE Group highlighted the importance of policy support to simplify licensing processes and encourage investment, including the acceleration of technological transformation and industrial automation to enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness. In addition, consistent implementation of Domestic Component Level (TKDN) policies and the strengthening of domestic supply chains were considered essential in creating a healthy and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
Commission VII DPR RI welcomed the input from industry players as part of its oversight function and its role in formulating strategic policies in the industrial, energy, research, and technology sectors. This dialogue is expected to serve as a foundation for concrete measures to strengthen the national manufacturing industry.
VIVERE Group welcomed the visit as a strategic momentum to strengthen synergy between the government and industry players. With well-targeted policy support and sustained collaboration, the national furniture industry is expected to grow more competitive, enhance its global competitiveness, and become one of the key pillars in realizing Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045.
